Shree Krishna-Karshini (how to become an attractor for Bhagavan Shree Krishna)

"Shree Krishna-Karshini" is one of the classic notions of Shree Gaudiya Sampradaya. 

Classically, Bhagavan Shree Krishna is reckoned to be
Attractor for jivas, but jiva endowed with Prema-Bhakti becomes the attractor for Bhagavan Shree Krishna.

The language of Shree Shreemad Bhakti Hridaya Bon Swami is exquisite as usually, please pay attention to such beautiful phrases as "All-Inclusive Reality" and "Self-elected Slave" he uses in his glosses. 

"Shree Bhakti-Rasamrita-Sindhu", 1.1.41 

श्री-कृष्णाकर्षिणी--
कृत्वा हरिं प्रेम-भाजं प्रिय-वर्ग-समन्वितम् |
भक्तिर् वशीकरोतीति श्री-कृष्णाकर्षिणी मता || १.१.४१ ||

shrI-kRRiShNAkarShiNI--
kRRitvA hariM prema-bhAjaM priya-varga-samanvitam |
bhaktir vashIkarotIti shrI-kRRiShNAkarShiNI matA || 1.1.41 ||


Translation: "Prema Bhakti as called "Shree Krishna Karshini" for possessing the power of attracting Bhagavan Shree Krishna, because such Bhakti charms Bhagavan Shree Krishna into complete submission through endearing love and affection for Bhagavan Shree Krishna with His Entourage".

Commentary by Shree Shreemad Bhakti Hridaya Bon Swami: The Commentator Sri Jiva Gosvami points out that in the Text "Shree Krishna Karshini", the prefix "SHREE" refers to the Entourage of the Lord, so that it is not only the Lord alone but the Lord with all His Entourage that becomes charmed into submission by Prema Bhakti

Shree Mukunda Dasa points out that in Prema Bhakti which binds even Bhagavan Shree Krishna, the object of The Bhakti is not merely Bhagavan Shree Krishna Himself, but Bhagavan Shree Krishna with His Entourage.

Thus while Shree Jiva Goswami points out that Prema-Bhakta causes the submission both of the Lord and His Entourage, Shree Mukundadasa points out that Prema Bhakti as directed not merely to Lord Krishna but also to His Entourage, just as when one speaks of the King as appearing, one means the appearance of the King with His Retinue.

Translator's note: It may be noted here that while Lord Krishna as the The All-Inclusive Reality, is Absolutely Free in all respects not being subject to any kind of bondage, yet there is one exception: He is the Self-elected Slave of a real selfless devotee of His, who has attained Prema-Bhakti.
