नमो वृन्दावनेश्वर्यै

This post belongs to the series, dedicated to the Verses from "Shree Sankalpa-Kalpadruma", see Index and Contents here - http://vishnudut1926.blogspot.ru/2015/05/shree-sankalpa-kalpadruma-contents.html

I am starting to publish Verses from some Granthas of
Shree Gaudiya-Sampradaya.

The idea behind such publishing is
the following - I will transliterate Verses in Sanskrit (Unicode and iast) with English Translation by OM VishnuPad BhaktiVedanta Narayana Maharaja Acharya - http://www.purebhakti.com/

The first Grantha to get acquainted with is "Shree Sankalpa-Kalpadruma" by OM VishnuPad Vishnwanatha Chakravarti Thakur.

The Bhakti of Shree Gaudiya Sampradaya is striclty Manjari-Bhava-oriented, that is bhakta in Shree Gaudiya Line always longs to become the Manjari (Dasi or Female Servant) of Shreemati Radharani-Devi.
"Shree Sankalpa-Kalpadruma" is The Prayer, begging Shreemati Radharani-Devi to grant a bhakti-yogini the position of manjari in Goloka.
Very Beautiful and Magnificent Grantha with aesthetically flawless Sanskrit.

Don't be surprised if you would like to become a manjari of Shreemati Radharani-Devi after reading.

I am transliterating Sanskrit from Hindi Edition by  OM VishnuPad BhaktiVedanta Narayana Maharaja Acharya (link) and scan the English translation from English translation by  OM VishnuPad BhaktiVedanta Narayana Maharaja Acharya (link).

I have also compiled remarks to each Verse (printed in pink), as it is always interesting to share emotions and thoughts, but not just publish raw text.

VERSE 01:
श्रीसङ्कल्पकल्पद्रुमः, १

namo vṛndāvaneśvaryai
vṛndāvaneśvari vayoguṇarupalīlā saubhāgyakelikaruṇājaladhe'vadhehi ।
dāsī bhavāni sukhayāni sadā sakāntām
tvāmālibhiḥ parivṛtāmidameva yāce । । 1 । ।
śrīsaṅkalpakalpadrumaḥ, 1

Translation: "O Queen of Vrindavana, O ocean of youthfulness, good qualities, beauty, pastimes, good fortune, amorous love, and compassion! My petition to You, who are always surrounded by Your Sakhis, is that I may become Your maidservant and forever please You by serving You when You are with Shree Krishna". (1)

Remark by Vishnudut1926: "Verse 01 is more than beautiful, it is Mantra of Shreemati Radharani-Devi + Laconic Prayer to Shreemati Radhika-Devi'.

VERSE 02:
श्रीसङ्कल्पकल्पद्रुमः, २
pradoṣānte abhisāraḥ
śṛṅgārayāṇi bhavatīmabhisārayāṇi
vīkṣayaiva kāntavadanaṃ parivṛtya yāntīm ।
dhṛtvāñcalena harisannidhimānayāni
saṃprāpya tarjanasudhāṃ sukhitā bhavāni । । 2 । ।
śrīsaṅkalpakalpadrumaḥ, 2

Translation: "I will dress and decorate You and then take You to meet Your beloved. Upon seeing the face of Your beloved Shree Krishna, You turn away slightly [because of Your contrary nature] and remain standing.

At that time I will take hold of the border of Your dress and take You to Him.

As I bathe in the consequent shower-like nectar of Your scolding, I will become most blissful". (2)

Remark by Vishnudut1926: "This Verse describes preparations for Evening Love Leela. This Verse tells about how Shreemati Radharani-Devi Catches Bhagavan Shree Krishna in The Net of Her Love.

Shreemati Radharani-Devi is not an ordinary Gopi, ready to fall in the Embrace of Bhagavan Shree Krishna at the first glance, but The Most Superior Gopi of Bhagavan Shree Krishna, that's why Shreemati Radharani-Devi shows the Escaping Mood at first, making Bhagavan Shree Krishna Mad from the Desire to Kiss Shreemati Radharani-Devi in the evening.

As you see from this Verse, Manjari is not just a female servant of Shreemati Radhika-Devi, but a bosom girlfriend, which can afford such intimate moves as pushing Shreemati Radharani-Devi to Bhagavan Shree Krishna".

VERSE 03:
श्रीसङ्कल्पकल्पद्रुमः, ३

pāde nipatya śirasānunayāni ruṣṭām
taṃ pratyapāṅga-kalikāmapi cālayāni ।
tvaddordvayena sahasā parirambhayāni
romāñcakañcukavatīmavalokayāni । । 3 । ।
śrīsaṅkalpakalpadrumaḥ, 3

Translation: "When You thus become angry I will place my head at Your lotus feet in supplication.

I will direct Your crooked glance, which is like an unopened flower bud, toward Shree Krishnaa.

[In other words, Your blooming lotus eyes have contracted like a flower bud due to Your feeling of contrariness (Mana) upon seeing Shree Krishna. I will, however, beseech You to cast a sidelong glance in His direction.]

I will quickly make Your arms embrace Him, by which Your entire body will thrill in ecstasy.

Full of bliss, I will gaze at You in that condition". (3)

Remark by Vishnudut1926: "All The Acharyas of Shree Gaudiya-Sampradaya are Manjaris and in Shree Radha-Krishna-Leela OM VishnuPad Chakravarti Thakura Serves as Shreemati Vinoda-Devi Manjari.
One of the arthas of the word "विनोद - vinoda" in Sanskrit is "kind of embrace", the other one is "amusement".

So, as you can see from Verse 03, Shreemati Vinoda-Devi Manjari amuses Shreemati Radhika-Devi and Bhagavan Shree Krishna by propeling The Divine Couple to Embrace Each Other tightly".
